Frequently asked questions
Is this about scores or about real speed?
Both. Scores are a means; the goal is that visitors can do what they came for faster.
Can this be done on a WordPress site?
Partly. Images, caching and scripts can usually be improved. If the cause is in the theme or plugins, a rebuild is sometimes the better route.
How fast is fast enough?
Google sets thresholds per metric, such as an LCP under 2.5 seconds. Those thresholds are the floor; above that we look at what visitors notice.
